Position Title: Software Quality Assurance - Test Automation Engineer

A Software Quality Assurance Tester, or QA Tester, is a professional who tests the functional and/or non-functional requirements within software solution to ensure they are defect-free and that the software solution being tested meets, or exceeds the acceptance criteria of the customer as per expectations.

They work with business analysts and software engineers, providing them feedback and problem-solving. As a SQA automation tester, you'll create designs for automation testing, write testing scripts, manage protocols, execute automated test scripts, and report on all test/defect results.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Test software
• Maintenance and support of existing systems
• Participate in the release process
• Build knowledge of new QA tools and relevant technology on a continuous basis
• Participate actively in the scrum process
• Knowledge Transfer and Collaboration

Requirements:

• IT related degree or diploma is preferable
• 0-12 months experience
• Unemployed
• Functional and non-functional testing experience
• Demonstrable experience in manual and/or automated QA, ideally in a continuous delivery environment
• Strong technical skills - comfortable testing software without a user interface, e.g. an API
• Experience in writing and debugging code
• Strong communication skills, dealing with all levels of management and peers within an organisation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Experience of working with teams following an agile methodology
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
