DJE Holdings: Public Relations Internship Programme 2024 / 2025

We are seeking a Public Relations Intern, who is full of creative ideas and eager to contribute. The intern will gain visibility into the inner workings and aspects of the public relations field, provide concrete deliverables, and learn from top to bottom. 

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates an understanding of the Communications Marketing industry and the basic principles of Integrated Communications Marketing
• Provides administrative support for team including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage, coordinating press tour pitching, scheduling and logistics.
• Researches, outlines, writes, edits and proofreads materials, including media advisories, pitch letters/emails, biographies, reports and fact sheets
• Assists with research including analysis of media coverage and online conversations
• Coordinates projects and events including inviting media, preparing press kits, attending events and preparing reports
• Demonstrates a general knowledge of current social media tools
• Builds a network of traditional and online media contacts
• Participates in the new business process, including research, audits and proposal preparation
• Understands internal operations and inter-team cooperation

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
• Communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines and assignments
• Knowledge of the MS Office suite
• Demonstrates strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teams
• Ability to work in a team with minimum supervision
