Minimum Requirements - Pre 2008

(score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)

• Grade 12 (Std 10) - Minimum 25 points
• English: "E" Higher Grade or "D" Standard Grade
• Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Physiology: "E" Higher Grade or "D" Standard Grade
• Mathematics: "E" Higher Grade or "D" Standard Grade

Minimum Requirements - From 2008

(score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)

• National Senior Certificate: Diploma Pass and above
• Home Language / First Additional Language: L3
• Minimum: 25 points
• English: L4
• Maths L3 / Maths Literacy: L5
• Life Science / Physical Science: L4
• Life Orientation: L4
• Any other 2 subjects.

NB. Life Orientation (LO) is mandatory at L4 and above but will not be scored

Take note of the following:

• Applicants must come from the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
• Applicants currently registered for studies elsewhere will not be considered for admission.
• Applicants who are currently receiving any other source of funding for study purposes will not be considered.
