An opportunity has become available for a General Laboratory Assistant: Inventory and Processing. The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation, delivery and collection of blood bank hampers, routine bio-hazardous waste disposal and cleaning duties according to relevant SOP’s.
Key Performance Areas:
- Blood hamper preparation, collection, packing received stock and stock count objectives
- Waste disposal objectives
- Daily Laboratory Duty objectives
- SHEQ Compliance objectives
- General function objectives
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Maths and 1 Science subject
- Overtime as and when required
- Shift work and weekend duties as required
- General physical health and reasonable endurance and mobility
- Proficient eye-sight
