Anglo American Platinum: Learnership Programme 2025

Anglo American Platinum, Mogalakwena Mine is hereby inviting applications for Engineering Exposure Training.

The successful Candidates will be afforded an opportunity to enroll in an external Unemployed (18.2 B1) Three-year Learnership programme leading to the selected qualification as a qualified Artisan.

The following Learnerships are being offered:

• Learnership Fitter
• Learnership Boilermaker Plater
• Learnership Rigger
• Learnership Earthmoving Mechanic
• Diesel Mechanic

Our Three-year Artisan Learnership Program is an enrichment program for the community and will enable you to develop skills with classroom and on-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Mine. This Program will enable you to maximize your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference. As you progress through your Artisan learnership program, we will help you discover your real capability and develop your skills as an Artisan.

Training Programs for Artisan Learner:

• 1st year: Institutional training at ESTC, Engineering Skills Training Centre.
• 2nd year: On-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Mine.
• 3rd year: Complete trade test

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and English (all with minimum 40% pass),
• Or N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline Requirements
• Or NCV Level - 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass

Learnership Conditions:

• Must be prepared to work on surface, open pit ‘dusty areas’.
• Work in accordance to work schedule of area and could possibly involve working shifts
• Must be a South African Citizen
• Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment
• Must have a medical certificate of fitness or able to obtain one
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
