ERWAT: Internships (Environmental Sciences / Management)

An opportunity exists within ERWAT Strategic, Monitoring and Evaluation (SME) to participate in an 18-month contract Internship Programme, working within the Environmental Section.

The incumbents will be trained to assist with the environmental responsibilities within the company, including environmental impact assessments for projects, environmental auditing for both projects and water care works, fulfilling Green Drop and Wastewater Risk Abatement Plan (W2RAP) requirements, and environmental education, awareness and research.

Requirements:

The applicant must fulfil the following requirements:

• National Senior Certificate, Grade 12
• Must have completed all theoretical modules required for a National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences / Environmental Management or related Environmental Field.
• Have not taken part in a formal Internship/Experiential learning Programme.
• South African Citizen
• Positive attitude for learning
• Good communication and written skills
• Computer Skills
• Be physically fit
• Be able to pay attention to detail.
