Afgri: Agriculture Internships (Work Integrated Learning Programme)

AFGRI Farmer Development invites suitably qualified candidates currently seeking experiential training to apply for the 2025 Work Integrated Learning Programme. Successful candidates will be placed at our Vasfontein Farm in Pretoria North, where they will acquire all-around work experience by fulfilling various duties and responsibilities relevant to the department.

Successful candidates will be enrolled on a 12-month fixed-term contract for an internship.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a cross-functional team to complete a Work Integrated Learning project as assigned by your Line Manager.
• Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your qualification and career aspirations.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
• Support teams in project work.

Requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen under the age of 35
• Must be registered or planning to register for the final year of a:

1. National Diploma: Agriculture (Crop Production)
2. or National Diploma: Agriculture (Animal Production)
3. or National Diploma: Agriculture (Irrigation Systems)

• Must be registered or planning to register at a recognised higher education institution in South Africa in 2025.
• Work Integrated Learning (WIL) must be a compulsory requirement for the completion of the qualification. Applicants must attach an academic record and an official letter from their educational institution confirming the WIL requirement to their application.
• Have not worked full-time (more than 1 year) in their field of study.
• Should be based in the city of hire.
• Good grades will be a strong advantage.
