Rand Water: Learnership Opportunities 2025

Rand Water invites applicants from suitably qualified and previously disadvantaged individuals to apply for the Procurement Officer NQF 5 Learnership Programme. The purpose of this qualification is to provide the learner with the required knowledge, practical skills and workplace-based experience to prepare the learner to operate as a Procurement Officer.

A Procurement Officer coordinates the procurement and supply of goods and services, manages contracts and negotiations with suppliers, and monitors the implementation of procurement schedules.

NB. Five (5) out 10 positions are resserved for people with disabilities

Requirements:

• Must not be employed.
• Must not be enrolled with any institution for a qualification nor be registered in any Learnership Programme.
• Must not be in possession of a completed post-matric qualification
• Must have a Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics Literacy and English (minimum of Level 4 in ALL the subjects)
• Must submit / attach SAQA / NLRD verification report (Obtainable from SAQA website)
• Must be a South African citizen and be in possession of a valid SA ID.
• Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age (in line with the NSDSIII).

For People with Disabilities (PWDS)

• Applicants who are deaf or hard of hearing should be able to provide their own interpreters at their own costs, since this is a learnership and they should be able to Hear and Communicate
• Proof of disability (Doctor’s Certificate/report or signed ITRDD13 by a registered medical doctor) MUST accompany the application
