EThekwini Municipality: SAICA Trainee Programme 2025 / 2026
Job Purpose: To enable the incumbents of the post of graduate accountant to undergo a 3 year in-house training programme which provides candidates with comprehensive training in accounting and finance within the treasury departments.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Preparation of the draft estimate report.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual report and annual financial statements.
- Preparation of the annual and multi-year operating and capital budgets for the assigned output Units.
- Compensation for occupational injuries and diseases costs.
- Undertake various reconciliations for the preparation of the AFS.
- Provide adequately for all bad and doubtful debts.
Essential Requirements
- BCom Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent with Accounting as a major.
Preferred Requirements
- Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) with Accounting as a major.
