Duties and Responsibilities

Your Apprenticeship Journey:

• Complete practical and theoretical requirements.
• Study and understand the relevant learning outcomes and learning fields.
• Complete studies/courses at formal learning institutions.
• Gain practical experience in a manufacturing plant during the study period.
• Complete general Induction/Maintenance Theory & Practice, Dairy Technology, Productivity and Economy subjects.
• Complete practical training curriculum and Millwright Trade Test at the designated Training Centre.
• You will be placed at a manufacturing plant to gain work experience while completing the learning programme.
• You will gain invaluable experience and be paid a monthly stipend.

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or NQF Level 4 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering subjects
• Must have over 60% in Physical Science 
• Achieved above 60% in Mathematics  (not maths literacy)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Reliable and willing to continuously learn new technologies

Advantageous: Practical experience in a production or maintenance department will be an added advantage
