SAMRC: Internships (HR, Accounting, Graphic Design, Library and Information Science)

The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) extends an invite to graduates to apply and participate in an internship programme in various Units/ Departments at the various regions as indicated below.

Internships are available in the following departments:

Corporate and Marketing Communications

• Reference No: R891A
• Qualification: 3-year Bachelor’s Degree in: Graphic Design or relevant qualification.
• Other criteria: Project management, Graphic Designing abilities. Excellent written and verbal communications, media savvy, competent in digital and social media platforms, Photography, strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Finance

• Reference No: R892A
• Qualification: 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Accounting
• Other criteria: Exposure to Excel and an Accounting package such as Pastel will be advantageous.

Human Resources (HR)

• Reference No: R893A
• Qualification: 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or similar relevant qualification or higher
• Other criteria: Computer literate and ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge and Information Management Services (KIMS)

• Reference No: R894A
• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent with a strong interest in Knowledge and Information Science or any Bachelor Degree with a Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies (PGDLIS)
• Other criteria: Proficient in computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal would be advantageous.
