G&B Cape: YES Programme 2026

Garlicke & Bousfield Cape Inc., one of South Africa’s leading law firms based in Cape Town, is inviting applications for the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme 2026 intake. This initiative offers unemployed youth a chance to gain practical work experience, build employable skills, and access entry-level opportunities across different departments of the firm.

The YES Programme is a national initiative designed to tackle youth unemployment by offering 12-month fixed-term work placements. It provides unemployed individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 with structured workplace exposure, professional skills, and improved employability for future career opportunities.

At Garlicke & Bousfield, participants will not only gain valuable work experience but also get the chance to grow within a professional environment that values development and excellence.

Available Positions

Successful applicants will be placed in one of the following entry-level roles:

• Admin Assistant
• Kitchen Assistant

Requirements:

• Currently unemployed
• Has not previously participated in the YES Programme
• Reside in or around Cape Town and are able to commute to Kenilworth daily
• Aged between 18 and 35 (Applicants turning 36 in 2026 do not qualify)
• Holds a Matric Certificate
• Consent to the firm conducting a police clearance and credit check.
