Motus: Innovation Data Analyst Internship 2026

Join our dynamic innovation team as a Graduate Intern and help shape the future of our business through data-driven insights. In this role, you’ll develop Power BI dashboards and apply data science techniques to track and visualise innovation concepts as they progress from ideation to implementation. As a key member of the innovation team, you will support the management and advancement of innovation initiatives by providing actionable analytics and compelling data visualisations. Your work will directly inform decision-making and help drive the success of new ideas across the organisation.

You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, learn from experienced mentors, and develop both technical and business skills. The internship is designed as a minimum 12-month programme, offering structured learning, exposure to the full innovation lifecycle, and the chance to make a tangible impact.

 

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards to visualise innovation funnel metrics and project progress.
• Collect, clean, and analyse data related to innovation activities, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Support the tracking and reporting of innovation concepts from ideation through to implementation.
• Collaborate with innovation team members and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights.
• Present findings and actionable recommendations to team members and leadership in a clear, engaging manner.
• Assist in documenting data models, reporting processes, and dashboard standards for knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection and reporting methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (completed) in: Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of Power BI (or similar data visualisation tools).
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or R).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.

Desirable:

• Additional certifications in Power BI, data analytics, or related technologies.
• Experience with data cleaning, modelling, or dashboard projects (academic, personal, or professional).
• Familiarity with innovation frameworks (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean Startup).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) or automation tools.
• Understanding of business processes or innovation management
