Unum Capital: AI Internship - Agentic Financial Services & Automation
Join us in building the next generation of agentic AI systems for financial services. This internship focuses on developing autonomous advisory tools, client support automation, and intelligent process workflows. You’ll work on projects that combine AI-driven decision-making, natural language interfaces, and automated portfolio management.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement agentic AI models for financial advice and client interaction.
- Develop automated workflows for onboarding, compliance, and reporting.
- Integrate LLM-based reasoning for personalized advisory and / or investment recommendations.
- Collaborate on multi-agent systems for advice, portfolio construction, Intermediary services and risk management.
- Support client experience automation through chatbots and smart assistants.
Requirements:
- Completed or final-year degree in: AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Strong programming skills (including Python)
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning, autonomous agents, and financial markets.
- Familiarity with process automation tools (e.g., RPA, API integration).
- South African citizenship or valid work permit.
