Unum Capital is pioneering digital asset innovation in South Africa. This internship offers hands-on experience in blockchain-based security tokenisation, enabling real-world assets to be represented on distributed ledgers. You’ll work on projects that combine smart contract development, regulatory compliance, and secure token issuance for financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and deploying security tokens on blockchain platforms.
• Develop and audit smart contracts for token issuance and lifecycle management.
• Support integration with custody and settlement systems.
• Research regulatory frameworks (FSCA, CASP compliance) for tokenised assets.
• Contribute to process automation for onboarding and KYC using blockchain.

Requirements:

• Completed or final-year degree in: Computer Science, Blockchain Development, or related field.
• Strong programming skills (Solidity, Python, or similar).
• Understanding of Ethereum, smart contracts, and token standards (ERC-1400, ERC-20).
• Familiarity with cryptographic security principles and distributed ledger technology.
• South African citizenship or valid work permit.
