Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this Human Capital Internship role is to support the Human Capital team in delivering effective people-focused programs while gaining hands-on experience in organization development, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and HR administration. The intern will contribute to maintaining compliant and efficient HR processes, fostering a positive workplace culture, and developing practical skills and professional knowledge in human resources operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the human capital team to ensure efficient function of the team.
- Assist in recruitment and employee relations processes
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with filing and documentation.
- Assist in the coordination of employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
- Provide support in learning and development activities, including training session logistics.
- Assist in capturing data and compiling hr reports.
- Participate in ad hoc hr projects and initiatives.
- Respond to and resolve access-related queries within agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary, ensuring timely follow-up with the requester.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders..
- Seek guidance from senior team members to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
- Use company resources (time, systems, and equipment) efficiently and responsibly.
- Help develop and update project plans, timelines, and task lists.
- Track milestones, status, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track follow-ups.
- Prepare status reports, presentations, and client updates.
- Extract, collect, analyze and structure data from various sources.
- Support dashboard administration.
- Ensure data accuracy.
Who can Apply?
Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or related discipline.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of human resources and or industrial psychology principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Administrative Skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and work systematically.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

Experience
