Coface South Africa: Marketing / Communications Internship Programme 2026

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Communications Intern to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both internal and external communications while contributing to impactful marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Internal Communications
• Assist in drafting and distributing internal newsletters, announcements, and updates.
• Collaborate with other departments to support employee engagement campaigns.
• Drive participation locally for group CSR, DE&I and MyVoice initiatives.
• Help organise and promote internal events.
• Ensure compliance and consistency with the Group communication rules
• External Communications
• Support the creation of content for social media and customer communications.
• Assist in the development and dissemination of press releases, articles, and other PR materials.
• Seek media advertising and promotion opportunities for the company – paid media.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on campaign performance.
• Identify trends, makes data-informed decisions, and continuously adjusts strategies to improve effectiveness.
• Conduct SEO research and web statistics reporting.
• Ensure compliance and consistency with the Group communication rules
• Ensuring content creation for the senior management
• General Marketing Support
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Maintain and update marketing materials and assets.
• Provide administrative support for marketing campaigns and events.
• Website administrative support

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in: Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, email marketing platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite (not compulsory but advantageous).
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
