KwaZulu-Natal Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (KZN COGTA) is a provincial government department responsible for supporting municipalities, traditional leadership, and community governance in KwaZulu-Natal. Its work focuses on strengthening local government, improving service delivery, and coordinating disaster management and community development across the province.

About the Internships & WIL Programmes

The Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs is offering Internships and Work Intergrated Learning (WIL) Programmes, to unemployed graduates / students for a period of 18 - 24 months.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be from Kwazulu-Natal (proof of residence to be attached) Ward Councilor letter or Municipal Bill or Affidavit.
• Applicants must be unemployed and have never participated in an Internship or Work Intergrated Learning Programme from any Government Department.

Applicants must have successfully completed a 3 or 4 year qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
