About the NWK Broker Internship Programme

As a broker intern, you’ll gain real, hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of an insurance brokerage. You’ll work side-by-side with experienced insurance brokers, soaking up knowledge and learning how to connect clients with the insurance solutions they need. Responsibilities

What you’ll be exposed to:

• Assisting in the process of evaluating clients’ insurance needs
• Gaining insight into how tailored insurance solutions are developed
• Understanding how client relationships are built and maintained
• Getting familiar with insurance underwriting, quoting, and policy processes
• Learning how to manage and update client records professionally
• Observing how to negotiate with insurers for the best coverage and pricing
• Staying up to date with industry trends and legislation
• Potential opportunity to study towards an insurance qualification, including the RE5 regulatory exam and product-specific training

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 with at least a 60% overall average
• Passion for working with people and solving problems
• Good communication skills in both Afrikaans and English
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Eager to learn and grow within the insurance industry
