Hatfield Community provides welcoming and secure accommodation for students. We are a vibrant community and are ideally situated close to many colleges in the area, as well as University of Pretoria. We provide an environment where students can make friends, excel in their studies and grow spiritually. 

What we offer:

• Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is accessible to all students. 
• Meals: Three meals a day are provided seven days a week, with a home-cooked supper prepared by the students on week nights.
• Water & electricity: All costs are included in the fees.
• Houses: Houses are fully furnished with a communal kitchen, lounge and dining room area. 
• Laundry: Washing machines are available in each house with outside washing lines.
• Studies: There is a study centre in the Community Village open until late, as well as the Catto library and computer centre that can be accessed during office hours.
• Discipleship: Students are invited to get involved in the life of our multifaceted church. 
• Socials: There are many social opportunities for students to get to know each other.
• Parking:Secure parking is available at no extra cost.

Fees:

Fees range from R4 675 to R5 100 per month over a period of ten month, excluding shuttle services. Shuttle service cost per trip ranges from R5 to R15 depending on the campus.  All meals are included. Fees must be paid monthly in advance with an upfront deposit of R4 500. 

FAQ's

1. Do the houses have study areas?

A secure study centre with Wi-Fi is available to students until late. The dining room tables in the houses are available to students for late night study.

2. What does the cost not include?

Bedding, towels, toiletries, washing baskets, washing powder and pegs. 

3. Can I view the houses?

You are most welcome to make arrangements to view our houses during office hours.

4. What is my next step?

Complete the application form and send it to us for processing. You will then be interviewed telephonically and receive feedback on the outcome of your application.

5. When are applications open? When do they close?

Your best time for successful application is early November for the following year, however there is no assigned closing date. Applications are welcome all year round, as students do move from time to time.

7. Is there transport to my college?

For your convenience we offer a daily shuttle service to Colleges in the area for an additional fee. We also have a  parking area for private vehicles.
