Special Investigating Unit (SIU): Internship Programme 2024

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) invites unemployed graduates to apply for the 24 months Internship Programme. The purpose of the Programme is to equip successful candidates with practical skills, knowledge and work experience within the SIU'S National Investigations Division.

Forensic Accounting Intern

B Degree or National Diploma with specialisation in:

• Accounting Sciences
• Financial Accounting
• Auditing
• Management Accounting

Internal Audit Intern

• B Degree or National Diploma specialisation in: Internal Audit

Information and Communication Technology Intern

B Degree or National Diploma.in:

• Computer Science or
• Information Technology

Researcher Intern

B Degree or National Diploma.in:

• Human Sciences
• Social Sciences
• Research
• Or equivalent

Case Assessment Intern

• B Degree in Law (NQF 7)

Prevention, Advisory and Awareness Intern

B Degree or National Diploma.in:

• Marketing or
• Forensic Investigations

Market Data Analytics Intern

B Degree or National Diploma.in:

• Statistics 
• Mathematical
• Computer Science

Forensic Cyber / Digital Analytics Intern

B Degree or National Diploma.in:

• Computer Science or Information Technology specialising in Cyber Forensics or Digital Analytics

Please note:

• The SIU internship programme is targeted for the youth ages 18 – 35.
• Candidates must not be currently participating on another internship programme or have previously participated on an internship programme.
• Candidates must be unemployed.
• Candidates must be South African citizens.
