Rand Water: Graduate Programme 2025 / 2026

Rand Water take pleasure in inviting suitably qualified and unemployed graduates to participate in a Three-year fixed term contract programme. As a graduate you will be exposed to the workplace and be provided with an opportunity to develop technical and professional competencies.

The following Graduate Opportunities are open for applications:

Catchment Graduate Programme

Bachelor’s degree in:

• Hydrology,
• Environmental Science,
• Water Sciences,
• Environmental Engineering
• or related field.

Biology​​​​​​​ Graduate Programme

Four years qualification (NQF 8) in:

• Environmental Health,
• Aquatic Health or Microbiology with Biochemistry,
• Microbiology,
• Zoology and/or Molecular Biology as a major.

Chemistry​​​​​​​ Graduate Programme

• Four years qualifications (NQF 8) in: Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• Experience in research projects and techniques.

Quality Graduate Programme

• Four years qualifications (NQF 8) in: Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• Experience in research projects and techniques.

SHEQ​​​​​​​ Graduate Programme

• B.Tech in Health & Safety Management.
• SAMTRAC/Equivalent.
• Root Cause Analysis Technique (RCAT).
• Driver’s license.

Process Technology​​​​​​​ Graduate Programme

Must have completed a Masters or PhD in:

• Chemistry,
• Water Engineering,
• Material- Science.
• Product Formulation
• Chemical Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

• South African citizens.
• Applicants must have Matric and a suitable qualification within one of the aforementioned fields of study
• Applicants must be under the age of 35
• The applicant must have not been on a graduate or internship programme prior to applying
