Internship Overview
Buffalo International Logistics is offering an internship programme for graduates interested in operational improvement within the logistics and supply chain environment. The interns will work as Operations Excellence Analysts, forming part of a newly established Efficiency Committee that acts as an internal operations governance and improvement function, reporting directly to the Head of the Committee.
The role focuses on process mapping, SOP development, basic data analysis, KPI design, and operational audits, with the objective of improving efficiency, accountability, and execution quality across business units.

Key Responsibilities
- Work on-site with operational teams to understand day-to-day workflows
- Map end-to-end processes for key roles and functions
- Identify process gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and handover issues
- Develop and standardize SOPs, workflow diagrams, and operating guidelines
- Review and understand operational data reports and dashboards
- Identify key operational data points and performance indicators
- Perform basic data analysis to support operational review and improvement
- Assist in linking data findings to measurable operational outcomes (efficiency, accuracy, compliance)
- Prepare structured reports with clear, evidence-based conclusions
- Support management in defining clear, measurable, and actionable KPIs
- Assist in explaining KPI logic, measurement methodology, and operational impact
- Support departments in aligning KPIs with operational processes and execution
- Conduct on-site operational checks and data-based reviews,The role requires regular presence in operational areas to observe actual execution
- Track KPI execution and identify deviations
- Assist in identifying root causes of operational issues and non-compliance
- Support follow-up reviews and improvement actions
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally to business teams
- Provide documented operational evidence to HR and management when required
- Support management discussions with fact-based analysis and reporting
- Maintain objectivity and independence in all operational reviews
Requirements
- Recent graduate or Final-year university student (Bachelor’s degree)
- Able to read, understand, and interpret data reports
- Able to conduct simple data analysis to support operational review
- Proficient in computer operations, especially:
- Excel (basic formulas, data organisation, simple analysis)
- PowerPoint or similar reporting tools
- Ability to quickly learn internal systems and operational tools
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
