The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is a South African government agency responsible for registering and regulating companies, cooperatives, and intellectual property rights. It ensures compliance with legislation, maintains business registers, and protects trademarks, patents, and designs, supporting entrepreneurship and good corporate governance.

Internship Overview

CIPC is dedicated to developing young talent by creating opportunities for unemployed graduates to gain practical workplace experience aligned with their qualifications. The 24-month Internship Programme provides structured exposure within the public sector, enabling graduates to build relevant skills, enhance their professional development, and strengthen their prospects for future employment.

Duration: 12 months contract

Stipend: R12 000.00 pm

Required Fields of Study

A completed Degree or National Diploma in:

• Multimedia Design
• Visual Communication
• Digital Communication
• Media Studies
• Communications 

Selection Criteria

• Unemployed South African graduates from higher education institutions who have completed their degrees/diplomas in the above mentioned fields.
• Unemployed graduates who have not been exposed to work experience.
• Unemployed graduates who have never participated in the Internship programme.
• Applicants must be between ages of 18 to 35 years old.
