Internship Overview

Glencore is offering an Environmental Management Internship that provides graduates with practical experience in environmental compliance within the mining sector. Interns will support site audits and reporting, assist with environmental incident investigations, promote environmental awareness, and help maintain risk assessments while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Ensure environmental legal compliance by conducting weekly site audits, preparing detailed compliance reports, and accurately capturing data in the Isometrix system.
• Assist in environmental incident investigations,
• Promote environmental awareness
• Maintain and update environmental risk assessments and risk registers.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and company policies.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree: Environmental Management
• Valid driver license
• Medically fit to work in high-risk areas
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Ability to function independently, good interpersonal skills, proficient communication skills in English
• Performance / achievement driven, accurate and timeous completion of assignments (result driven)
