National Credit Regulator (NCR) is a South African regulatory body established under the National Credit Act to oversee the country’s credit industry. It registers and monitors credit providers and related entities, enforces compliance, and protects consumers by promoting fair and responsible lending practices.

 

Internship Overview

The National Credit Regulator (NCR) is offering a 12-month Office Administration Internship within its Registrations Department. The programme provides practical experience in administrative support, document processing, data capturing and stakeholder communication within a regulatory environment, helping graduates build valuable workplace skills and enhance their career prospects.

 

Position Title: Registrations Department Intern

Duration: 12 months contract

Reference No: RI/2/26

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for capturing data.
  • Providing administrative support to the Registrations Department.
  • Printing of registration, renewal, replacement and additional branch certificates.
  • Scanning of documents.
  • Preform general office administration such as answering calls, emailing of documents to applicant/registrants and filing of documents.
  • Attending to walk in clients. Updating of registrants information on the system

Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a 1-year post matric qualification in Office Administration or relevant qualification.
  • Applicants must have not participated in an internship before.
  • No experience required.

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Ms.
  • Office Knowledge of the National Credit Act
  • Registration of credit providers and debt counsellors
  • Understanding of the South African Consumer Credit Market
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Quality and detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and work well under pressure.
