Learnership Overview

Glencore is offering Engineering Learnerships for candidates who have completed an N2 qualification with the relevant trade theory. This programme gives learners the opportunity to gain both technical knowledge and practical workplace experience in their chosen engineering trade. Through a combination of classroom learning and on-the-job training, participants will develop the skills needed to work in the engineering field. Once the programme is successfully completed, learners will qualify as artisans and receive a recognised trade certificate.

Engineering learnership programs are available for the following disciplines:

• Boilermaker
• Fitter
• Electrician
• Auto Electrician
• Instrumentation
• Rigger
• Diesel Mechanic

Your Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Entering a learnership agreement with the MQA.
• Completing theoretical and practical trade modules at the training centre.
• Completing all phases of the learnership programme within the specific time frame.
• Completing On-the-Job training modules.
• Workplace readiness and technical panel evaluation.
• Attending Basic and Advanced Engineering Skills Courses.
• Assisting with basic Artisan tasks during the stages of practical exposure.

Requirements

• Full N2 with relevant Trade Theory.
• Medically fit
• Proficiency in English

Candidates will be required to undergo Psychometric assessments
