Programme Overview

We are offering a structured 23-month graduate opportunity within our Finance team, designed to build strong technical foundations in accounting, financial controls, reporting, and data analysis. You will gain hands-on exposure across core finance processes while working alongside experienced professionals in a regulated and high-integrity environment.

 

This role is ideal for an accounting graduate who is detail-oriented, analytically curious, and eager to develop within a professional finance setting.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with invoice capture, coding, and preparation of supplier payments.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable activities.
  • Review and process employee expense claims in line with policy.
  • Support analysis of expense and corporate card (AMEX) transactions.
  • Escalate payment queries and exceptions appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date cashbook entries.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for review.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Investigate reconciling items and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Support month-end close through timely completion of reconciliations.
  • Assist with analysis of travel and corporate card expenditure.
  • Prepare basic reports on spending trends and variances.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
  • Assist with accounting activities for subsidiary entities.
  • Prepare journals, including accruals and prepayments, under supervision.
  • Post journals to the general ledger in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Perform balance reviews and highlight unusual movements.
  • Support audit queries and maintain clear audit trails.
  • Assist with the collation and documentation of carbon/ESG reporting data.
  • Adhere to financial controls, maintain accurate working papers, and escalate risks or errors promptly.
  • Assist with analysis of client fund data.

Requirements

  • A completed bachelor’s degree majoring in Accounting is preffered.
  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Management, Auditing, Taxation, Economics or a related commerce field will also be considered, provided that at least intermediate Accounting (second-year level) has been successfully completed at tertiary level.
  • Applicants who are in their final year of study in 2026 will be considered.
  • Candidates currently completing an Honours or other Postgraduate qualifications may also apply.
  • This is a graduate opportunity, prior working experience is not required.
