Responsibilties

This is not a shadowing programme. You will work on real projects that influence decision-making across payments, lending, digital wallets, and financial services products.

You will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions
• Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, risks and opportunities
• Build dashboards and reporting solutions using SQL, Power BI and Python
• Work with modern data platforms such as Snowflake
• Contribute to initiatives involving analytics, machine learning and AI
• Present insights to business stakeholders and incorporate feedback
• Participate in structured mentorship and personal development programmes

You will gain exposure to both the technical and commercial side of analytics — understanding not just how to analyse data, but why it matters.

Requirements

• A recent graduate in: Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Economics or a related field
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Interest in programming languages such as SQL and Python
• Curiosity about data platforms, visualisation tools and AI
• Strong communication skills — able to explain insights clearly
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• South African citizenship
