The South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) is the official national body responsible for accrediting conformity assessment bodies in South Africa. It ensures that laboratories, certification bodies, and inspection organisations operate competently and in line with international standards, supporting quality, trust, and confidence in products and services across the economy.
About the Bursary
The South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2026 academic year. Bursaries will be awarded for studies in ANY field (National Diploma, Degree, Honours or Postgraduate Diploma).
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary will cover the cost of tuition fees only, capped at the following amounts:
- National Diploma or Degree studies: up to R50 000
- Honours or Postgraduate Diploma studies: up to R70 000
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed Grade 12 (Matric)
- You must be studying or intend on studying towards a National Diploma, Degree, Honours or Postgraduate Diploma qualification, in ANY field
- You must be studying or intend on studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- You must be committed to advancing your education and building future skills in the country
